Domain Expansion. Rewrite the rules. Suppress a rival; clash Domains and cancel both. Combat is automatic; strike or counter. Find techniques, artifacts and materials. Shift formations on a 3-layer Bagua board, watch Domains charge, then open yours to decide the fight. Will you win this time?
All Night Ascension is a cultivation-themed backpack auto-battler built around a three-layer Bagua board. Collect cultivation methods, artifacts, and materials as you explore, then arrange them into an automated combat loop.
After reaching the Divinity realm and claiming a Domain, specific actions from your build begin charging it. The Domain waits for your command once it is ready. Each side can unleash one Domain per battle.
Opening first strengthens your combat loop and applies a suppression rule while your rival has no active Domain. Holding it lets you wait for an enemy power spike and disrupt their sequence with a rule change.
If your rival answers with a Domain, the battle enters a Domain clash. Both sides keep the rules that benefit their own board, while suppression effects against the opposing side cancel out. You must choose between securing an early advantage and keeping an answer for the enemy’s decisive move.
Domains can alter the flow of time, cap incoming damage, detonate Thunder, rewrite ammunition consumption, repair destroyed artifacts, or prevent defeat for a short period.
The traditional square backpack is replaced by a circular Bagua board with 4, 8, and 24 slots across three rings.
• Inner Ring: 4 Cultivation Method Slots
Cultivation methods define the direction of your build. They change artifact triggers, elemental tendencies, and the pace of combat.
• Middle Ring: 8 Artifact Slots
Flying swords, spirit pets, cannons, puppets, and defensive relics cast during combat and form the main engine of your board.
• Outer Ring: 24 Material Slots
Ores, herbs, spiritual materials, and mechanical parts enhance artifacts, add new properties, or change how their effects trigger.
Adjacency, opposing positions, Bagua sectors, and cross-ring relationships all affect your build. Moving one artifact or replacing a connected method or material can change the entire combat loop.
Slots and Qi capacity limit what you can equip. You must divide your resources between core artifacts, support pieces, and future upgrades. You may also accept Qi overload, sacrificing maximum health to fit a more aggressive setup onto the board.
Artifacts cast according to their cooldowns and trigger conditions. Cultivation methods, materials, and board positions can reduce cooldowns, add extra casts, increase critical chance, or provide shields and other bonuses.
One artifact can trigger the next. Flying swords can chain attacks through Haste. Thunder can build toward repeated detonations. Cannons consume ammunition, while puppets trigger effects through destruction and repair.
You will keep adjusting the board as you move through events and shops. Keep an artifact that supports your current engine, sell a material you no longer need, strengthen your core, or pivot into another build before the next duel.
