Path of the Yaoguai is a Journey to the West-inspired roguelike that blends deckbuilding with RPG progression. Begin as an unknown little yaoguai, grow through countless adventures, reshape familiar legends, and rise to become the mighty King of All Yaoguai.
I was transported to a parallel world inspired by Journey to the West, only to be reincarnated as a yaoguai for the sins of my past life. A chance encounter grants me the Reincarnation Casket and the power to begin life anew without end. In this treacherous world, rival factions are on the move and long-buried truths are about to surface. In my next life, will I return as a pig, a monkey, a lamp... or even a tree? Buddhahood demands eighty-one trials—but the path of a yaoguai is no less perilous.
