Operate a modular tape-decoding machine and solve hands-on puzzles to restore corrupted data and reconstruct the story behind a deadly attack.
A woman carries out a deadly attack at a hospital, then takes her own life. She leaves behind a set of cassette tapes containing encoded data.
The entire game takes place at a tape-decoding machine. Solve over 40 signal-decoding puzzles across the seven tapes, unlocking a new story fragment with every successful decode.
To decode a signal, recreate a target waveform shown by the machine: choose a base waveform, route it through a chain of processing modules that reshape the signal, and adjust the modules and their order until the output matches the target.
Each recovered fragment reveals part of the story of the tapes' owner through text, an image, or an occasional audio recording, gradually reconstructing her life and the events that led to her final actions.
