The party was going great: the music was loud and the coolers were full, but nobody checked the guest list.
MURDER YOUR FRIENDS is an asymmetric horror party game. Every round, one player becomes
The Guest — a masked killer with a knife, a bag of cruel toys, and all night. Everyone else just has to make it out of the mansion alive.
Find the key. Unlock a way out. Don't die.
When night falls, the mansion locks. Somewhere in its wardrobes, chests, sofas and toilets is the key that opens one of the exits — but the searchable stash rotates every single night, and so does the loot. Search fast, search quiet, and remember: five doors look like the way out. Only two of them are.
Your voice is a gameplay mechanic
Proximity voice chat, always on. Coordinate with friends when they're close, lose them when they run. Walls muffle voices — and the killer hears everything you do. Scream if you want. He'll come.
Fight back with the world's worst inventory
This house was not stocked for survival:
- The Cup Game — hide under one of three giant party cups and make the killer play a shell game for your life. Wrong pick and he eats a 10-second stun.
- Trauma Dump — corner the killer and unload your unresolved issues on him. Literally. From a bucket.
- Karen Doll — squeeze it to summon the manager. Usually he grants you extra health. Usually.
- Rope nets, medicine balls, thrown anything — knock him down, tie him up, buy your friends time.
The killer brings party games too
The Guest never sprints. He doesn't have to. He restocks from hidden caches only he can see:
- Bear traps that floor whoever steps in them.
- A cymbal monkey that stands watch and announces you to the whole house.
- Handcuffs that chain two survivors together. Anywhere. Roof to basement counts.
- A cult ritual that seals every exit for a full minute.
- A phone call to the pocket of someone who is definitely hiding in a wardrobe right now.
Chases you can actually win
No stat sheets, no perks — just stamina, corners, and nerve. Sprint to break line of sight, crouch to go silent, kill your flashlight and hide. Footsteps are the only warning the killer gives — and the only warning you give him. Get caught anyway? A knife hit isn't the end: you get a burst of adrenaline while he wipes the blade. Make it count.
Features
- Online multiplayer for you and your soon-to-be-former friends — one killer, everyone else running.
- Proximity voice chat with wall muffling. The radio static when someone goes down is a feature, not a bug.
- A mansion that changes every night: rotating search spots, roaming loot, roof chests, basement dead ends.
- Six playable survivors with their own signature vibes. The jock will punch the air. The slacker will not.
- Physics throwables, skylight crashes, wardrobe hiding, victory laps, and ghost spectating when it all goes wrong.
- Short rounds, instant restarts, zero mercy. Perfect party fuel.
One house. One night. One friend who isn't answering on the group chat.
See you at the party.
Join the party early
Playtests are running now, and the invite list lives on Discord. That's where new builds drop first, where you can find a lobby, and where future items get argued about before they exist.
