A retro first-person dungeon RPG with manual exploration, automatic return routes, and battles you can automate or command. Loot, regroup, read your expedition logs, and descend one floor deeper.
Dungeon Nox Exotica is a dark fantasy dungeon RPG built around fast, low-resolution first-person exploration.
You move through unexplored corridors yourself, step by step.
Find enemies, collect loot, return to town, and prepare to descend even deeper.
Combat is turn-based. Let your party fight automatically in regular encounters, then take direct control during boss battles or moments of crisis—you can switch between the two at any time to suit the situation. Build a party of up to five adventurers and use the distinctive skills of eight different classes to face the monsters lurking in the dungeon.
Will you exploit your enemies’ elemental weaknesses, or boost your critical-hit rate and overpower them? The skills you learn will hold the key to victory.
As each character grows, you can choose one of two styles to further develop the defining strengths of their class.
You can, of course, explore the dungeon manually. When you need a break, however, you can choose from several auto-exploration options, such as “Explore Entire Floor,” which searches areas you have not yet cleared, or “Return to Previous Retreat Point,” which takes you back to where you last withdrew.
When your party begins to run low on healing resources, select “Return to Base” and they will automatically make their way back to the escape point.
Equipment found in the dungeon can vary in power and properties.
Even the same type of weapon can become a valuable find.
After each expedition, review your loot, adjust your equipment, change your formation, and prepare for the next run.
The dungeon gradually erodes the minds of those who venture within. As your party loses its sanity, familiar enemies will mutate into bizarre forms and unleash even more ferocious attacks.
These mutated enemies are more likely to drop rare items than their normal counterparts. You can deliberately let your sanity slip and battle these aberrations in search of better equipment—or keep your party’s mental state stable and explore in relative safety. How you brave the dungeon is entirely up to you.
Character portraits can be imported from external image files.
Choose images that match your vision and create a party you will grow even more attached to.
Your expedition log records battles, traps, loot, and critical moments.
Why did you win?
Where did you take too much damage?
What did you bring back?
Read the record of each expedition and use it to plan your next descent.
The deeper you go, the more the dungeon begins to change.
Forbidden power.
A wavering mind.
A dark fantasy labyrinth where strength and danger grow together.
Will you go one floor deeper?
