Flip the floor panels and launch enemies — and friends — off the island! A top-down arcade party game inspired by golden-age couch gaming. Charge your shot to stun, then flip for the ring-out. 8 stages and a boss solo, local or online co-op, or last-one-standing PvP. Just one more round!
Something about modern games feels off to me. …Ah, that's it.
They used to be simpler.
You'd learn the rules in seconds, and the fun was just being
loud together in the same room.
That's the whole game here. Flip the floor, and whoever is
standing on it goes flying — enemy or best friend. The floor
doesn't care whose side you're on.
So when your own teammate flips the floor out from under you
and you sail into the sea, there is exactly one thing to
shout:
BAKAAA!!
(Japanese for "you idiot." Said with love, mostly.)
That's where the name came from. FlipBAKA! was made for the
you from back then.
Kids, parents, grandparents — everybody laughing at the same
screen.
Flip one at the right moment, and whoever was standing on it — monster or best friend — goes flying clean off the island.
Panels don't take sides. Flip first, apologize later.
Move. Flip. That's the whole tutorial.
That's where it starts, not where it ends — dead-simple controls hiding a deep game of positioning, timing, and reading your friends.
▸ Solo — Fight through 8 stages, each with its own kind of enemy. Beat them and you'll earn skills — and the right skill hits even harder on certain stages, turning a wall you couldn't get past into a clear run. Then take down the boss waiting at the end.
▸ Local Co-op (2–4 players) — Everyone around one screen. Only one person needs to own the game — bring your friends and play together.
▸ Online Co-op (2–4 players) — Take on the solo stages with friends anywhere in the world. Launching your own teammate off the edge is basically a tradition.
▸ PvP — Two rulesets: rack up points by taking down enemies, or knock your friends off the island and be the last one standing.
Remember crowding around one screen, passing the controller around, everyone yelling at every close call?
Flip Panic is a love letter to the golden-age games we grew up on. Rules you get in seconds, a game you can't put down until sunrise. Now with online play and voice chat.
The couch can be anywhere now.
