Turn a half-empty room into the hottest place in town. Build your rooms, open up your menu, hire your crew, plan your supply and handle the crises every night throws at you. Bar Baron is an isometric management game that simulates running a bar and restaurant in depth.
We have all sat in a bar with friends, or across the table from someone on a date, and thought: "what if this place were mine?"
Today you get your answer. This place is yours now.
Bar, kitchen, lounge, garden, restrooms, storage. Every room is separate and every room has a job. No kitchen, no food. Without storage your stock cannot be kept properly and it spoils. Counter, table or decoration, it makes no difference; build the place your way and make it yours.
Two main branches: bar and kitchen. Food and drink. Unlock upgrades, widen your product pool, and enrich your operation with every new item you put on the menu.
Bartender, cook, waiter, host, cleaner and bouncer. Each has their own expertise and their own personality. Build and develop your crew around what the place needs. But do not forget: happy customers come from happy staff.
Supply is everything. Now you decide who you buy from. Different wholesalers for every product. Different quality. Different shelf life. Different prices. Plan around your budget and put it on the shelf.
Three bottles of good whiskey for the price of one, straight off the black market. Nice opportunity, isn't it? And what about the hygiene in your kitchen when a health inspector turns up at the door? How are you going to handle that: slip him something, or say "my kitchen is spotless"?
The answer is yours. This is your place!
Anything can happen at any moment. A customer who gets sick from their food and files a complaint, a hygiene inspector who shows up unannounced, or a rock band that is nowhere to be seen when it is time to go on. During service, the crises and the opportunities never stop. Stay calm and do your job.
Chill, rock, jazz, rave, rap. Whatever you are into, pick your track from that genre's playlist and catch yourself enjoying the job in the middle of a packed service. Build nights around a genre and run events with the crowd that loves it.
When the day closes: profit and loss, customer reviews, and what the rival places have been up to. Staff costs, rent coming due, and the bank loan payment at the end of the month. All of it is on you.
