A chaotic multiplayer party game: a swarm of tiny rats must outlast hungry hawks in a giant backyard. The twist? Moving gives you away, so freeze to vanish in the grass. Whisper to friends with proximity voice... if you dare. Get caught and you JOIN the hunt.
You're a rat the size of a teaspoon, loose in an overgrown backyard, and there's a hungry hawk overhead
that can spot the tiniest twitch. Rat Hunt is a chaotic, friendship-testing party game of hide-and-FREEZE.
Round up a crowd, hold your breath, and whatever you do... don't move.
Here's the whole game in two words: movement gives you away. Sprint and you're a blur no hawk
could miss. Go perfectly still and the grass swallows you whole. Every dash for cheese or cover is a
gamble, and the hawk's gaze is your warning light: where it's looking is where it's hunting. Freeze,
read it, breathe.
Hiding isn't passive. When a hawk looms over your bush, your rat starts to panic: the screen
shakes and a nerve mini-game kicks in. Keep your cool and hold steady and the hawk eventually gives up
and you outlast the camp. Crack under the pressure and you squeak, pop out of the grass, and get
snatched. The closer and louder the hawk, the harder your nerve holds. It's the tensest staring
contest you'll ever lose to a bird.
The hawk doesn't win dogfights, it wins investigations. Glide up to a fence post or the BBQ to scout,
loom over a suspicious bush to crank the pressure, and when a rat cracks it bolts into the open. Pop your Screech ultimate to flush every shaking rat in range at once.
Rats aren't helpless. Team up, bait the hawk off a cornered friend, and time your Taunt ultimate
to take the heat yourself and relocate a teammate to safety. And in Escape mode you go on the
offensive: gnaw open a fence panel, break a hole in the perimeter, and slip out to the OUTSIDE.
Every rat that escapes is banked as a permanent win. Bank enough of the crew before the timer runs out
and the rats take the round.
Get snatched and you don't just sit and watch. You come back as a hawk and turn on your former
friends. Every catch tips the yard further toward the predators, until the last few rats are scrambling
to outlast a sky full of hunters. Betrayal has never been so adorable.
Talk to the players around you with built-in proximity voice chat, and only the players around you. Rats
squeak like squeaky little rats; hawks rumble like something with very big talons. Whisper a plan to a
nearby friend to pull off the perfect escape... or panic out loud and hand your hiding spot to the hawk
gliding right over your head. Sound is risk. Your mouth is a tool AND a liability.
Play with friends, or with total strangers. Host your own game behind a private room code, or leave it
public and let anyone drop right in. Pick your win mode (Last Rat Standing or [b]Escape), set
the round timer, the player count, the starting hawks, and the hawk and rat speed. Streamers can spin up
viewer-participation matches in seconds. Recommended for 2 to 16 players. The exact maximum depends on
the host's network environment and may rise or fall as we keep playtesting.
A cozy, miniature tilt-shift backyard: towering blades of grass, forgotten garden junk, a bird bath the
size of a lake, and a fence on its very last legs. Earn cosmetic rat and hawk skins just by playing. No
microtransactions, no nonsense. Just play and unlock.
