"0kb, something we can't erase."
Halcyon—a water world of endless oceans and scattered archipelagos.
AI governs humanity’s survival, carrying civilization through one catastrophe after another.
People depend on AI.
People resent it.
But none of that matters to you right now.
YOU’RE FIRED.
Your rent is overdue.
And all you have left is the AI robot you built back in college.
So you take her into a game called RY-Astraeus, farming gold to pay off your debts and stay afloat.
Hold tight to the old pocket watch in your hand, and perhaps you will catch a glimpse of the light ahead.
Together with your companions, you will uncover a hidden conspiracy—and find your way back to who you once were.
[Character Introduction]

Ian — A former full-stack engineer dismissed from the research institute after an accident. After donating all of his compensation, he enters RY-Astraeus with LUX, the AI companion he built in college, hoping to repay his debts through gold farming.
He calculates every possible cost, then quietly shoulders the worst outcome. His name remains hidden on the party roster, but an old pocket watch never leaves his side. In a world where everything can be rewritten as data, it still keeps time by the rules of reality.
“Don’t worry. The numbers still work—and we’re still here.”

LUX — The AI Ian built during his college years. In the virtual world, she appears as a girl in a white dress. In reality, she inhabits a rusted yellow maintenance orb.
An indelible 0KB burn scar remains within her Photonic Consciousness Unit(PCU)—an inertia no system can optimize away, always drawing her back toward Ian.
“Algorithms compute. History preserves. But Ian… love is inertia.””

ShiKira— A young senior official of the Bonavent AI Ethics Committee, and one of the few people with full authority over RY-Astraeus.
She strips emotion from every decision, reducing the world to risks, probabilities, and responsibilities. Yet she personally suspended the order to ban Ian.
Not out of trust. Not out of mercy.
She simply refuses to let ESO make the final judgment for her.
“The order is suspended, not withdrawn. Ian, do not mistake hesitation for trust.”

Red— A professional gold farmer in RY-Astraeus and a greatsword main.
His class is a hard-hitting, hard-to-kill jack-of-all-trades—the usual choice for lone-wolf slackers. Somehow, Red turned it into several first-clear records for high-difficulty dungeons.
Loud, easy-going, and constantly working to pay his younger sister’s medical bills, he chose the greatsword for one simple reason: it looked heroic. One day, he hopes to wield a Bio-Core Greatsword of his own—a hulking relic of retro biotechnology, powered by a living heart.
“Fifty-fifty? Good enough. No risk, no reward!”
——————
You run dungeons together.
You fight bosses, stay up all night farming gold, and remain so poor that four people have to share a single plate of fried rice.
Life carries on like this.
Ordinary. Noisy. A little poor.
But happy enough.
The old watch in your pocket keeps ticking.
Sometimes you wonder what “time” truly means inside a world made entirely of data.
But the thought soon passes.
The fried rice arrives.
Red calls you over.
LUX calls your name.
ShiKira turns her head away—
but you know she is listening.
Nothing unusual.
Just a story about farming gold, paying off debts, and arguing with your teammates.
…
Right?
