The gods lost their power and took retail jobs. A single-player roguelite deckbuilder where relationships shape your deck and every battle plays out across three tactical lanes. Rebuild your bond with them to reclaim their power.
The gods aren’t dead. They're just forgotten, and working retail. Ares, former God of War, now pulls espresso shots like they're battle orders. Gaia, once the Earth Mother, sells cut flowers by the stem. A century ago they surrendered their divinity, the world went gray, and they've had a hundred years to get petty about it. Now they want their power back. You're how they get there.
Petty Ungodliness is a single-player tactical roguelite deckbuilder where you bond with forgotten gods, reclaim their power, and push back the creeping Apathy that's draining all color from the world.
Build decks, forge alliances, and fight across shifting three-lane Places of Power, where every choice reshapes your run.
A century ago, the Matron of Nothing convinced the gods to give up their power. The world has been gray ever since.
Each run takes you deeper into the faded city the gods call home. As you engage with them, you build relationships and make them your allies. Grow strong enough to face Apathy, or learn to befriend the void itself.
Every battle plays out across three simultaneous lanes called Places of Power, each with its own rules and rewards. Build Influence with cards to claim lanes: win a lane to deal damage, lose one and you bleed life.
Places of Power rewrite the rules every match: one lane might reward expensive cards, another might punish them. Hero Abilities let each god break the rules outright, flipping a losing board in a single turn because a florist is still a god when it counts.
Fresh environments every fight keeps you reading, adapting, and outsmarting Apathy's ever-changing forces.
Earn gods through combat, conversation, and choice. Story decisions grant cards, upgrades, or remove weaknesses from your deck.
Deepen your bonds to unlock new cards, new decks, new artifacts, and new story paths.
The closer you get, the tougher their tests. Pass them to claim their divine power.
Every run begins with three defining decisions:
Your god - your partner and your rule-breaker.
Your deck - your starting strategy.
Your artifact - the run-shaping wildcard.
Artifacts anchor entire archetypes and demand different playstyles. Choose wrong, and you'll find out the hard way that a barista with a grudge packs quite the punch.
Restore a god's trust and you restore their divinity. The tired florist becomes the Earth Mother again, and the barista becomes the God of War.
As each god remembers who they were, color floods back into the world.
We're a small team of former TCG pros and industry veterans, and Petty Ungodliness is the game we always wanted to play: deep enough to make you feel big-brained, warm enough to make you care about a florist who used to move continents. If you ever win a lane in a way we didn't see coming, that's the whole point.
