Whispers Among the Poppies
A hand-drawn narrative journey through the eyes of a child who lives through war and possesses the gift of communicating with the spirit world
During a full-scale invasion, a young boy flees the destruction and wanders through familiar, yet shattered cities — empty, broken, filled with silence and shadows. Alone, but not truly alone. Able to hear the voices of those who are gone, he tries to understand what happened, listening to thoughts that still linger in the air.
This story is told without a single word. No voices. Just footsteps, thought bubbles without text, and the quiet presence of memory in a ruined world.
🎨 Visual Style:
The art is inspired by a child's drawing — soft, emotional, sometimes naive. This contrasts deeply with the harsh reality surrounding the boy, showing how war distorts the world through the eyes of the young.
🎧 Sound:
Minimalist music and ambient sound design create a focused, emotional, and immersive atmosphere. There are no instructions — only feeling and intuition.
🕊 Features:
A deeply emotional story told without text or speech
2D art styled to reflect a child's imagination
Dialogue presented through silent thought bubbles
Inspired by real emotional experiences of war
A short, but powerful journey that lingers long after it's over
