The Cave Diver
A brutally challenging physics-horror caving game. Using only your hands, drag yourself down a suffocating cave system where every hold pulls you further into the darkness. Equal parts rage-game, claustrophobic nightmare, and descent into a forgotten folktale...
The Cave Diver is equal parts rage-game, psychological horror, and folklore nightmare.
A rage-inducing descent into darkness, built around unconventional hand-based controls and a story buried deep beneath the earth.
The suffocating rocks of the caves are slowly closing in to claim another soul.
Keep crawling... You're almost there...
Crawl through claustrophobic tunnels and unforgiving detours.
Cave dive through a labyrinth of crushing stones and constricting passageways. Branching tunnels will lure you into claustrophobic passages where turning back seems physically impossible.
Map out your descent.
Hammer crude signs into the stone to track your descent into the caves. With every new body, the cave grows familiar. The marks of those who came before remain…
Don't get stuck.
The caves are no place for the living. Getting stuck means dying alone, entombed in rock. No one is coming to save you. When you return as a new cave diver, you might stumble upon your predecessor's decayed remains - if you can reach them.
Learn to move through physical puzzles.
Master the movement and grip of your two hands to carefully navigate obstacles and overcome physics puzzles. Every movement is perfected through failure. Only the obsessive, the patient, and the insane make it deeper.
Discover what horrors lie deep underground.
For generations your family has told stories of a rare flower that grows at the bottom of these caves. They say the flower can cure any ailment - even paraplegia of the legs . But every man who's entered the caves has failed to return... Some say the cave itself takes them... Others speak of something ancient that stirs below - an evil older than man himself...
