Super Sunny World
Super Sunny World is the ultimate love letter to the platformer greats of the 8-bit era. Jump, bump, and kick your way through 8 worlds of pixel-perfect platforming, cute characters, and exciting power-ups. Built for the NES, and for the first time playable on Steam!
Return to a simpler time in gaming…
A time when simple, 2D games reigned supreme, and 8-bits were all you needed. A time before invasive tutorials, in-game ads, and prolonged cutscenes. A time when "pixel perfect" was the standard.
Super Sunny World is born out of those memories. It is a love-letter to the games that forged my youth. It is a pixel-perfect platformer inspired by the greatest platforming games of the 8-bit era. You will be running, jumping, bouncing off enemies, and searching for hidden secrets hidden in blocks and tunnels.
But Super Sunny World doesn’t just look retro, it IS retro! This is an actual NES game, 100% compatible with a real NES console, but playable via Steam on your PC.
Features:
Pixel Perfect Platforming
At it’s core, Super Sunny World is heavily inspired by platforming games of the 8-bit era, and stays true to that limited scope. Controls are extremely tight, and great care has been taken to make sure that while the game is “NES Hard”, it is always fair.
8 Worlds to Explore
Jump, climb, bounce (and maybe even warp) your way across 8 worlds of lush pixels, filled with enemies, platforming challenges, and secrets.
Beautiful Pixel Art
With modern innovations in pixel art techniques, Super Sunny World features some of the best graphics to ever grace the NES.
Great Soundtrack
A completely original soundtrack takes this game to new heights, and will have you humming the soundtrack long after the phosphors of your CRT have faded.
Hidden Secrets
A staple of the 8-bit era, Super Sunny World is jam packed with secrets, hidden rooms, and Easter eggs. It will have you searching every pipe, block and pit for the foreseeable future.
Authentically Retro
Super Sunny World doesn’t just look retro; it is retro! Built on real NES hardware, and designed for the MMC3 cartridge (the same used by Super Mario Bros 3 and Kirby’s Adventure), the game pushes the console to the limit!
