Description: Paradise Nowhere is a realistic Backrooms-inspired game. Explore strange places, sometimes dark and sometimes beautiful, that distort the reality you know and play with concepts you may have never seen before.
Where are you, and who are you?
Maybe this is paradise, or maybe it is just nowhere.
Story: You are a girl who doesn’t remember who you are or how you ended up in this strange place, but you still have vague memories of things and of your life. Maybe you understand this place better than you understand yourself.
Look, you found a camera on the ground. Now record everything and follow this mysterious voice that is helping you.
Features and Concepts:
Interactions with the environment, such as opening doors, interacting with buttons (switches, levers, etc.), picking up objects for inventory, and inspecting items.
Noclip is a classic method of passing between areas in Paradise Nowhere. It can be used to discover new areas. Try walking into a wall, and you might end up somewhere else.
Levels and atmosphere are the main focus of this game. The environments are designed to closely match the iconic references of the Backrooms and Liminal Spaces. The levels available in the "Pre-Alpha" are listed in the "Early Access" description.
Non-Euclidean Geometry can be found in some parts of the game, resulting in confusing layouts, impossible structures, and other effects.
Puzzles will appear in Story Mode, revealing pieces of the lore and hidden elements when solved. These puzzles might involve button sequences or more abstract challenges like interpreting scenarios and deciphering cryptography.
Game modes:
Exploration Mode is ideal for players who just want to immerse themselves in the atmosphere without interruptions. In this mode, the story does not affect gameplay, creating more of a walking simulator experience. Enjoy the Liminal Spaces and ambience.
Story Mode reveals, sometimes clearly and sometimes in a more mysterious way, the story behind these places. But not only that, it also reveals a lot about the protagonist, and tells a melancholic and deep story.
There are so many questions: “Who is the protagonist?” “How did she get there?” “What is all of this?” “Is there a way out?” “Is this real?” “Who or what created all of this?”
Well... maybe all of this will come to an end soon...
Note: "Story Mode" will not be available in "Pre-Alpha".
