Don’t Go Looking For Evil, You May Find The Likho…
One-Eyed Likho is a story-driven first-person adventure based on a dark folk tale recorded in the 19th century. Tired of his bitter life, a blacksmith sets out with his friend the tailor to find Likho and change his fate, but ends up in a mysterious world where the tales of all peoples meet.
A dark fairy tale — journey to the thrice-nine kingdom and visit an ancient temple of forgotten beliefs
Fire mechanics — solve puzzles and light your way with a box of endless matches
The Book of the Worlds — collect tales of one-eyed giants from different peoples, from Polyphemus to Basat
Encounters with Likho — in several episodes you will have to hide from this monster and run
Unique style — a captivating world rendered in cinematic black and white (and other film styles you can choose in the settings)
4–5 hours to finish — completed chapters can be replayed from the menu
Gentle folk horror — an uneasy atmosphere and chases instead of constant jump scares
Story and exploration over action — tales and notes are an important part of the game; you can read them or skip them
Not a Black Book sequel — a new story from Morteshka with no card battles, closer in spirit to The Mooseman
The game is inspired by the folk tale “One-Eyed Likho”. Likho is the embodiment of evil fate and misfortune, a one-eyed creature often appearing as a gaunt, one-eyed woman.
